Aivars Pūcītis

Appointed as member of the board of state joint stock company “Latvijas gaisa satiksme” (LGS).
Pūcitis earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Riga Technical University in 2002. He has regularly supplemented his knowledge by attaining qualification and relevant certificates as an air traffic controller instructor, competence assessor, aerodrome tower supervisor and air traffic control instructor.Pūcītis joined LGS in 2001 as an air traffic controller. He has held the positions of operational supervisor of the Air Traffic Control Tower of Riga Airport, Chief of the Air Traffic Control Tower of Riga Airport, Acting Head of the Airfield Region Unit and Deputy head of Air Traffic Management Department.
He has an excellent command of Latvian, English and Russian.
