6 new flight dispatchers begin training in Finland.
On 22 October the first group of six new LGS flight dispatchers began a training course in Helsinki.
The training for the new flight dispatchers is provided by “Air Navigation Services Finland Oy” with whom LGS signed an agreement in June of this year. Colleagues from the Estonian air navigation service provider “Lennuliiklusteeninduse AS” (Estonian Air Navigation Service - EANS) will also attend the training course.
The recruitment of new flight dispatchers began in July, and 123 applicants participated in the competition. The selection of the best candidates based on the FEAST test was carried out by “Air Navigation Services Finland Oy. All applicants were required to have a university degree - a Bachelor’s degree at the least
The new dispatchers will undergo training in Helsinki for the next 11 months, followed by 8 more months in Riga.
Overall 10 people were selected for training, and the second group of 4 more new flight dispatchers will begin training in August 2019.
The previous training of new flight dispatchers was organised by LGS in 2008.
