CEO of Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme to begin work as the Chairman of the CEO Board of NEFAB
On 1st of December, Davids Taurins, CEO of Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme was elected as the Chairman of the CEO Board of the NEFAB Programme, a cooperation between four air navigation service providers in the North European Functional Airspace Block – ANS Finland (Finland), Avinor (Norway), EANS (Estonia), and LGS (Latvia).
Mr Taurins takes over from Raine Luojus, CEO of ANS Finland who has served his two-year term in the position. The NEFAB CEO Board is composed of Chief Executives of the NEFAB air navigation service providers and is chaired on a rotation basis. The Board is the ultimate decision-maker in the Programme and provides overall strategic direction for the cooperation.
NEFAB is one of the nine functional airspace blocks in Europe, established in 2012 to tackle the challenges in the European air traffic management network and achieve optimal ATM performance by the design of airspace and organization of services regardless of existing boundaries.
